Pet Peeves

Pet Peeve: a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to them, to a greater degree than others may find it.

We all have those things that absolutely bug us and get on our nerves to no end!

-When im at work trying to close and that one person will not get the hint and stand around till 30 min. after closing time
-when people crack there knuckles
-when people make fun of a friend or family member
-immature older teens
-people that seem to curse in ever sentence
-when some just text "Lol"
-skinny jeans on men
-cheaters
- people who stab you in the back
-drivers who don't use turn signals
-when my dog ignores me
-when my horse acts up when company is over
-when people stop when they have the right away
-when people shorten words
- when im washing my chickens for the fair and they flap their wings and get water everywhere!
-when the chickens don't go in their pen at night and I have to chase them.

the list could go on and on!

what are some of your pet peeves?

Do you want God's blessing or to have everyone elses approval?

Almost everyone has that mask... that costume they throw on when others come around. Trying to make them selves more desirable. yeah, you know what im talking about! everyone I've met so far has one, and im guilty of it s well. Why? Why do we do this? .... to be accepted, to be more liked, to make our selves feel better, to impress people, the list goes on and on. the need of approval kills freedom! But my question is why should you care? the only person you should be trying to impress is the Lord, and he already knows your every flaw, curve, inch of you heart, mind, body, and soul.

We are who we are for a purpose. why be embarrassed of who you are? no one on this earth is any better than you are. we are created equal!

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect" romans 12:2

"Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious" 1 Peter 3:3-4

We shouldn't be flaunting all our good doings, "beauty", and good fortunes. all this bragging, selfies on social sites, and doing right because your around others. it doesn't matter when you do good  in front of others but its what you do when your alone that counts the most. its a family praying together over dinner with no company over, a person down on their knees behind closed doors, someone doing something good for someone less fortunate but not speaking a word of it to anyone. Doing something only because its the right thing to do. And not just making a "good" choice but a "God" choice.

We are not here for ourselves or to look good to others. We are here to serve!
So I ask again... why put on a act, cover your face..for society?
why do you judge others on what you think you know or see?
why gossip?
Doing these things make you the opposite of looking good or pretty.
You wanna be beautiful? ....be your self! be who you really are, who God made you to be! that is true beauty and happiness that will last forever.

The Life Of A Cashier

The job of  all cashiers are similar. We all go through the same things no matter where we are, we have those good days and our...Well...not so good days. we have those really friendly, funny, great customers and then we have those grumpy, angry, I just wanna kick you out the door customers. then there are those customers that make you shake your head, roll your eyes, and think to your self "just take the items and leave" if you have ever been a cashier and your reading this you probably know what I mean.

Our job may sound easy but don't let it fool ya it can be a real pain some times. For example: when a customer is upset and takes it out on you, when all your coworkers are in the back standing around, laughing and having a good time and your the only one working, when your coworkers get lazy, when your humanly wrong and the customers rub it in, when there is a long line of customers and they are all impatient  and it seems like you are getting no where, when you feel like falling over or punching something and all you can do is smile, when they curse in your face and you have to take a deeeeep breath and say "im sorry sir, have a nice day" But it also has its good points, like when you see a satisfied smile on a persons face, a nice conversation with a elderly person, watching the tenderness of a little family, and just simply getting a compliment.

being a cashier takes patients, kindness, hard work, computer, math, and people skills, responsibility, loyalty, and self control.

Personally I don't like working as a cashier more than 2 years in one place. just because things get boring and tiring. I don't exactly enjoy a job where I pray and hope to do something new today at work and my boss tells me " I need you on the registers today".  hahaha!

So next time you encounter a cashier please be kind because behind that smile is a person who has bigger dreams
 :) thank you!

WARNING: being a cashier is not for everyone it may cause gray hairs, sore feet, stress, and aggression.

what making a joyful noise is all about

Life on the Farm

I get up every God given day at dawn to do farm work. Some may say that farming is unappealing and holds too much labor. but as farmers we do what we love so there for never work a day in our lives. Farmers hold a in born responsibility to this land, our families, and living beings everywhere. The pure thought of caring for and walking among the livestock gives me the energy to rise every morning, To feed the animals before myself is fed. To slip into old jeans along with warn boots, and step out into the morning air, rain, snow or shine.

Success of a farmer is a sum of efforts repeated day in and day out. and as farmers we learn quick that you don't get anything you don't work hard for and dreams don't work unless you do. Agriculture also plays a crucial role in the life of an economy. It is the backbone of our economic system. Agriculture not only provides food and raw material but also employment opportunities to a very large proportion of population. its livelihood, income, and trade.

and lets face it... if a zombie apocalypse happened right now im pretty sure the farmers would be the ones to survive!
Looking about me the sight of the fields, trees, cattle, sky, livestock and life... brings a sense of heart filled joy and pride. you farm to live and you haven't lived till you farm! it is over all the greatest experience of my life. Farming and its work is not just a chore for me...its a passion. its my life!  Live, Laugh, Love, and Farm!
